  • Interior Plantscape Associate – Full-Time; Boston
    Interior Plantscape Associate – Full-Time; Boston

    Job Responsibilities

    • Maintain and service interior plant accounts to the highest standards; working cooperatively with Field Supervisors to design and install new accounts as needed 
    • Work cooperatively with the Garden Design Manager to troubleshoot accounts and resolve client inquiries; make product and accessory suggestions and follow up with improvements as needed
    • Periodically check and update client information and inventory, create new client records and maintain all existing electronic and paper files 
    • Responsible for quality control of vehicles and equipment; order and maintain stock of supplies and tools
    • Shop for plants with Garden Design Manager as appropriate 
    • Assist with creation of interior plant services photo library and care sheet templates
    • Work on selected seasonal exterior planting jobs as business needs require

    Candidate Attributes

    • Degree in Horticulture, Tropical Plant Biology or related field or equivalent work experience is preferred, with emphasis on tropical plant knowledge 
    • Previous experience in luxury sales and/or customer service is preferred
    • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively with high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation

    Other

    • Flexible work schedule required, including weekend and holiday availability as needed
    • Valid driver’s license required, with no violations. Candidate must be able to drive a cargo van and a cube-truck with side mirrors only, and comfortable with city driving
    • Ability to lift and move product weighing up to 30 pounds

  • Landscaping Associates – Full-Time Seasonal (Spring-Fall); Boston
    Landscaping Associates – Full-Time Seasonal (Spring-Fall); Boston
    Job Responsibilities
    • Complete any of the following gardening activities either on-property or at client site on a daily basis: annual, perennial, shrub and tree planting, weeding, mulching, deadheading, bed-edging, watering, soil amending, spring & fall raking and cleanups, aesthetic and horticultural pruning.
    • Loading and unloading of trucks with heavy plant materials, tools and supplies
    • Provide excellent service and resolve customers questions and concerns in The Winston Way as needed 
    • Meet daily standards in all operations, including care of plant materials, supplies and company vehicles
    Candidate Attributes
    • Basic experience in installation of specialty landscaping, garden maintenance, and container plantings is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of annuals, perennials, plant materials, design and horticulture is highly desirable but not necessary. Interest in plant materials and gardening is critical. 
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills 
    • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively with high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation
    Miscellaneous
    • Flexible work schedule required including weekend and holiday availability. Candidate must be willing to work outside under all weather conditions.

    Floral Designer – Full-Time; Newton

    Job Responsibilities
    • Consistently create floral designs incorporating effective and innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels and accent materials, while meeting established criteria for Winston Flowers design styles and cost of goods
    • Develop a working understanding of the basic Winston Styles of design and accurately create custom and gift line designs based on established standards
    • Apply proper flower fundamental handling techniques
    • Meet and consistently maintain required standards of production
    • Successfully interpret clients’ wishes on custom design orders and following up as applicable to ensure complete satisfaction
    • Responsible for providing outstanding customer service and contributing to sales volume growth, and resolving customer questions and concerns in The Winston Way
    • Perform on-site visits and client consultations to conceptualize custom floral design ideas for commercial and residential properties as needed
    • Daily set up and break down of store including physical transportation of outdoor and floral displays
    • Contribute to the consistent maintenance and refreshment of product merchandising
    Candidate Profile
    • 5+ years hands-on custom floral design experience in a luxury high volume floral shop or design studio is required 
    • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team-oriented environment

    Special Events Designer – Full-Time; Boston
    Job Responsibilities
    • Effectively upholds the service standards of Winston Flowers, driving sales by using a consultative approach to create customized product presentations to wedding and special events clients 
    • Conceptualize and execute all design projects; designs incorporating effective and innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels and accent materials, while meeting established criteria for Winston Flowers aesthetic and cost of goods
    • Coordinate efforts of the production design and delivery support team to uphold Winston Flowers design and service standards at event setup
    • Work cooperatively with Events Coordinators to compose clear and concise client proposals, communicate updates and proposal revisions and other pertinent information to ensure seamless service to client
    • Partner with select third party vendors for overall event design concepts; linens, lighting, rental items, etc.
    • Prepare hard goods and floral product needs and submit to Buyers and Inventory in a timely manner to manage product needs; responsible for maintaining company standards in cost of goods
    • Work with Operations Manager to plan for event logistics and labor needs
    • Maintain timely correspondence during sales process with client and vendors, and responsible for follow-up communication to clients to ensure complete satisfaction
    • Working cooperatively with the Director of Special Events and sales teams to build new client relationships and developing prospects through networking and maintaining relationships with event and party planners, catering managers, etc.
    Candidate Attributes
    • Previous sales and significant hands-on floral design experience in the events industry is required
    • Proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet client needs by utilizing a consultative approach to build rapport and present key selling points while focusing on the client’s needs
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve established goals and deliver on high expectations, with exceptional follow-through and time management skills

We are seeking an experienced floral designer to join the Greenwich Winston Flowers team. This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and creative individual to work in a boutique setting with world class product, providing exceptional service to our clientele.

    Job Responsibilities
    • Responsible for providing outstanding customer service and contributing to sales volume growth, and resolving customer questions and concerns in The Winston Way
    • Consistently create floral designs incorporating innovative use of colors, floral materials, vessels and accent materials, while meeting established criteria for Winston Flowers design styles and cost of goods
